Yes, you did read that right!!

What an amazing experience.

Surrounded by some brilliant clubs who do really great things ( special mention to Scarborough HC taking hockey onto the beach and trebling their membership!!) and international hockey players everywhere Sam Quek announces " And the winner is...…….Kett". I didn't hear any more, we were off!!!

We are the England Hockey Notts Sport Club of the Year. Little old Kettering, as Tony would say, are front page news of the EH website. How did that happen!!

Remember when we were really struggling to put out three mens teams, playing on a pitch that was completely shot ( was that a metaphor for where hockey was going in Kettering?) and having to play home games out of town.

What a transformation in the last two or three years. A new committee structure that is transparent and communicates everything with you, the members, playing on a new pitch at Bishop Stopford that has already made a huge impact on the Club, Junior players in every senor side ( take a bow Louise and everyone else involved), charity work, Clubmark accredited, Men move to the East for three promotions in two years, Ladies looking to run five sides in the not too distant future, packed social events etc etc

It couldn't happen without you, the Club Members, supporting everything that is being done to make playing hockey at Kettering a better experience for us all.

To quote the EH website "The big winner of the night was Kettering Hockey Club winning the Notts Sport Club of the Year". Unbelievable.
