Way back in early September members of Kettering Hockey Club were invited to nominate players and officials for the various awards on offer at the very prestigious Kettering & District Sports Awards.

These awards are held every year and recognise the level of performance and major achievements of individuals as well as the level of personal commitment and the impact various individuals have in developing others.

The following nominees have made it through to the finals against strong opposition and the winners of the various awards will be announced at the awards ceremony which will take place at Wicksteed Park on Thursday 26th October.

This is a really fantastic evening with many outstanding “athletes” in attendance. BBC Radio Northampton Rugby Co-ordinator Lennie Newman will host the evening and present the awards after nominees and their guests have munched their way through the rather splendid buffet provided by Wicksteed Park.
