As part of our ongoing commitment to Safeguarding young people and adults within teh Club we wish to appoint a Deputy Welfare Officer.
Normally we would wait until the AGM to make this appointment but the holder must attend a Time to Listen course. One of these is being run at Moulton College in March so it seems an ideal opportunity to be proactive. The role is purely as a back up to Nigel Parkes, our Welfare Officer.
It is an opportunity to give something back to the Club. It also looks ok on your CV!
If you are interested please contact your captain or a Committee member. Thanks
Details of the Time to Listen course are:
Date: 21st March
Duration : 3 hrs
Venue : Moulton College
What's covered
The workshop will:
describe how a club welfare officer works with others to create a child centred environment
explain how the club welfare officer role fits into the wider safeguarding environment
apply learning to case studies including sharing good safeguarding practice
This workshop is delivered by Northamptonshire Sport.
