The National Over 75s Tournament needs your help.

As you probably know Club legend Bill Greenwood organises the annual Over 75s National Tournament and Kettering HC help him run this. This a) doesn’t happen by itself and b) raises a substantial sum for the club.

So, we are asking for your help.

The dates are Friday 12th to Sunday 14th April at Wrenn School in Wellingborough.

What do we need? Could you help with umpiring? Games done will go towards your free shirt allocation. We need people to help with the refreshments? Could you give up a couple of hours to ‘do a shift’ making teas etc. The more people who help the better.

Just let us know what you can do. Any help is welcome.

Kettering enter a ladies 4th team, an u14 team and generally help teams out if they are a bit short.

The competition is in three categories, the over 75s National (for regional teams) and two supplementary competitions for aspirants and others. International teams are expected. There’s even over 80s players. Last year they had what is thought to be the first ever Over 80s match. Unbelievable.

Think what time and effort all these players have put into hockey over the (combined) hundreds of years they’ve been involved so let’s make sure we put something back in.

Please let your captain know or add a comment below if you can help. Many hands make light work.
