The cost of real Perspex dugouts was absolutely ludicrous (about 4 grand for two) so this was soon shelved as a realistic option. A trip to Spalding saw what could be created with a bit of imagination. Jan was tasked with sorting this out and with thanks to Phil and Mandy at Corby Covers ( Click here to visit Corby Covers website) for their great service and even greater price we now have two bespoke covers for two spare goals. We now have two dugouts that we can use for all home games.
It will also mean that teams will no go on the far side of the pitch leaving the other side for spectators.
In case anyone wonders why white and not blue, this was advised by the manufacturers and the mesh strip is to allow air flow on windy days. The rain won’t go through it anyway.

The covers only take a couple of minutes to put up and take down. They are attached to the frame of the goal by plenty of Velcro and also have extra attachment to go over the back roller if needed (or attach to the fence).

Nice one Jan for sorting them and we’ll done everyone who fundraised for them. They will definitely make us look a bit more professional as well as offering a bit of shelter to keep your kit dry.
