The game started at a relatively frantic pace and then settled down. Chances were few and far between in the first half. Kettering's 13 man squad took time to get any passing together and the complete lack of preparation meant that passes went amiss. The second half followed a similar pattern and with no goals looking likely it came a surprise when after a scramble a mis hit St Neots shot nestled in the corner. Kettering are not for giving up and with a couple, of minutes to go Kettering scored through Scottish international Paul Brooker after a period of sustained pressure.
