On a day when the weather started to bite and the Ladies O45s tie was postponed due to the pitch conditions this last sixteen Tier 3 tie did little to warm the cockles. A fairly dour midfield battle with very few goal scoring opportunities saw Kettering take the lead when a Tim McDowell finished well after fine approach play by a Paul Brooker. St Neots equalised with a well taken goal. The second half saw even less goalmouth action but did see McDowell gain a green and yellow, Brooker a yellow and a St Neots player a green. To penalties we went and the usually reliable Barry Coe was unable to save any St Neots strokes and the usually reliable Nick Cusk missed for the visitors. 5-3 and the dream for glory has to wait for another year.
