Oh the weather outside is frightful…..

It was quite sunny when we left Northamptonshire. It was a heavy sky that greeted us in the West Bridgford car park with the odd flake of snow. By just about half time the pitch was covered in snow, you couldn’t see the lines and it was only going to get worse (and it indeed did from our seats in the bar tucking into curry and a decent American style IPA).
As it was 0-0 when we called it off we are going to have to go back for another go. It was a real shame as we were the better team, new boy Neil Manley providing an energy to the engine room. We actually offered to go straight to penalties but it wasn’t even fit for that.
What a weird weekend for our third team players. Two games abandoned in less than 24 hours - what are the odds on that?
What was great was we played a proper club team. No ringers, all West Bridgford members.
So off we trot again either 18 Dec or in the New Year.
