Kettering 2nds claimed a well deserved victory by beating Wildcatz 4-2. Kettering started the stronger with fine runs down the right by Helen Keyworth and left by Alexia Webb. Keyworth slipped the ball through to Shez Coe who crossed for Kirsty Smith to deflect expertly into the goal. Coe and Smith combined again only for the goal to be ruled out due to the whistle being blown for a defenders foot rather than playing on and giving Kettering the advantage. Wildcatz seized on this good fortune and started to press more dangerously and were rewarded with a goal equaling the score for half time. Wildcatz started the second half where they had left off scoring again within the first ten minutes. Kettering rallied and Keyworth netted with a fine strike from the edge of the D. Kettering then forced home the win with a short corner converted by Michelle Tanser. Kettering keeper Amy March then made a match winning save before Tanser found Keyworth, after a fine individual run, who slotted home for her second in a man of the match performance.
