Kettering 2nds travelled to play Towcester 2nds in a very close game. Towcester took the lead after 20 minutes slightly against the run of play but Kettering running high on confidence from recently results fought back to equalise before half time with top scorer Kirsty Smith slotting home. Kettering continued where they had left off after the break with Cath Irvin creating a number if chances from the right. Eventually one of these paid off and Michelle Lee was able to fire into the net. Towcester came again and made the score 2-2 despite the valiant efforts of keeper Amy March and defender Louise Storey. Kettering were not settling for a point and continued to press and after slick interplay between man of the match Michelle Tanser and Irvin and Irvin's shot from the edge of the D found the corner of the goal. Kettering held on to their best win of the season.
