Kettering 2nds suffered defeat at the hands of Earls Barton. Earls Barton started strongly putting pressure on the Kettering's defence. Kettering's keeper Amy March was called into action early on and after making a fine save was injured while on the ground after being hit by the following shot. She tried to continue but was unable and without a reserve keeper defender Chris Rowland- Jones played as a kicking back. Earls Barton took full advantage of the situation and were rewarded with a goal a few minutes later. .Kettering found it difficult to recover from these set backs and despite having a few chances of their own were unable to convert. Earls Barton were determined to get their second win of the season and held out to get a deserved win. Kettering hope to improve on their performance next week when they travel to Wellingborough to play Bottom of the table Grammarians.
