Kettering Ladies 2nds finished the season with a pleasing 6-0 win over Grammarians. The game started very evenly with both sides having chances but with the defences standing firm. Kettering eventually got the first break when they were awarded a penalty. Shez Coe's weak penalty stroke however was saved by the Grammarians keeper. Kettering however started to put more pressure on and got their first goal from a fine Michelle Tanser strike from the edge of the D. Ellie Darnell then doubled their lead with a lovely chip over the keeper from a Louise Martin cross. The second half saw Kettering continue to push forward and when another penalty was awarded Coe made no mistake this time to give Ketteting a three goal lead. Martin then got a goal of her own before Kirsty Smith capped a fine season in front of goal with her 31st of the season and making her the Ladies top scorer. Player of the match Lexi Webb capped a fine performance with her first goal of the season. Kettering had to deal with a number of break from Grammarians but Sophie Smart was solid at the back ensuring these came to nothing.
