Kettering then broke and against the run of play Kirsty Smith combined well with Felicity Goodliffe to take the lead. Oundle continued to pressure Ketteting and forced a number of errors. Oundle then equalised and went onto take the lead by half time. The second half saw Oundle double their lead before a Kettering eventually found their touch. Smith then got her second before Helen Keyworth fired home from a short corner routine to equal the score. Smith then completed her hatrick and gave Kettering the lead. Oundle had to push forward and Kettering were able to catch them again on the break with Goodliffe making sure of the points with a fierce shot from close range.
