Kettering Ladies 2nds continued their difficult season with an early morning start in Belper. Kettering who are learning and improving every game in a tough league set out defensively to ensure that Belper were kept at bay. The first half went to plan with some excellent defending by Sue Russell, Michelle Tanser, Louise Storey and Jill Livingstone. However as the half progressed a Kettering gradually began to push further forward and when attacking cross was intercepted by Belper who broke quickly with Kettering out of position to give them the lead just before half time. The second half saw Belper catch Kettering asleep at the start of the half and double their lead. Kettering continued to try and push forward when they could and had a couple of chances to get a well deserved goal. However it was Belper who had the final say when they made sure of the game with a third goal. Kettering host Ashbourne this Saturday 11.30am at Bishop Stopford School.
