Martha Ross wins MOM

Match report: 19th September 2015
Earls Barton vs Kettering 3’s
Score: 5-0
This was a really enjoyable match for both teams, and overall it was (despite the score) a strong defensive game for Kettering. Earls Barton began with a strong push forward, taking Kettering slightly by surprise, but soon enough Kettering got their act together and reacted extremely well. Some amazing tackles were made by Sophie Craig and Martha Ross, in particular. By half time, Kettering were only 2-0 down; a successful half for both teams, but in different ways, of course.
In the second half, several promising shots on goal were made by Chrissy Bosworth, but the Goal Keeper for Earls Barton was just too good! After a few short corners for the opposition, three more goals were conceded against Kettering leading to a final score of 5-0. However, this score does not reflect the effort put in by Kettering at all; everyone worked so hard, especially in the unusually hot weather we had this week. The girls played really well together as a team, and the new players have settled in a treat, so keep going Kettering!
