From the off Kettering were put under pressure from the top of the table Earls Barton. Under a new formation Kettering were able to keep the cutting runs at a minimum. Lin Leach was vital down the left in order to provide an outlet for the forward team, consisting of Sam Bedford, Caitlin Curran and Mary Schwier. The majority of the first half was even in terms of possession. A breakaway run from Earls Barton and a horrible bobbling ball saw the oposition score the only goal of the game.
In the second half Kettering were able to penertrate the oppositions D, where several shots were marginly off target. The last third of the game saw the Kettering defence hold strong, with excellent ball interception and tackling from Elenor Izzard .
Kettering were helped from the sidelines from the club president, Jean Smith, and the recoveing Chrissy Bosworth.
In all a strong performace by the team, roll on the next match in the new year.
