From the outset Kettering put the pressure on the opposition, hard work from Ellie Peachment and Sandra Mandzuik to distribute the ball from the center to the waiting pairing of Caitlin Curran and Sam Bedford as forwards.
There was a rush of goals in a 10 min spell which saw Beth Hardy score and have one disallowed, Sam Bedford slotted one in at the corner, Caitlin Curran scoop one home and Sandra Mandzuik popped in a corker. This raft of goals made the opposition pile on the pressure towards the end of the first, meaning goalkeeper, Natalie Brinkman was pulled into action to stop a short burst of shots on goal.
The second half did not see as many goals but did allow the excellent right wing and forward pair of Imogen Smith and Sophie Richardson, to show off thier skills and they worked tirelessly to pressure the opposition, these two girls will be ones to look out for in the future. After a few false starts Ellie Peachment got herself on the score sheet once more, with a cracking one on one with the goal keeper. Kettering kept a clean sheet with the quick reactions and advancement of goalie, Natalie Brinkman, once more to stop an advancement the oppositions forward trooup.
Final score 5-0 to Kettering. A well battled game in rainy and bouncy conditions.
