Kettering Ladies Over 45s travelled to Market Harborough to play their Over 35s. Market Harborough started the stronger and dominated play. Kettering allowed them to play the ball around and were consequently put under pressure in their final third. Market Harborough made this pressure tell and scored twice in the first half despite good defending by Dusty Mason and Louise Storey in defence and Michele Collins in goal. Kettering looked like a different team in the second half and pressured Market Harborough whenever they had the ball in defence. This paid off with Kettering overturning the ball continually and fine interplay between Kirsty Smith and Cath Irvin saw Smith slot home twice to level the score. Kettering ensured that they continued to push forward and a number of short corners followed. A well rehearsed routine saw Irvin slot home herself and then become provider again for Smith to complete her hat trick. Market Harborough did get a third goal just before the end but a Kettering were not going to let the win escape them.
