1st tournament of the season!

Kettering had the bare 7 for the first tournament very early on in the season, which was hosted by Northampton Saints, however the Under 10s never gave up and kept on fighting. We lost the 1st game 4-0 against a talented Northampton saints team however Kettering applied the pressure with some fantastic tackles by Charlotte Bennett who held Kettering's defence well along with the support of Fenella Woodisse. In the second game we came out with a draw after a 1-1 nail biting game in which Saffron Bass slotted home the ball after some lovely play up the left wing by Jessica Wilkins and Fenella Woodisse. However Kettering couldn't keep up with the drawing result and ended up losing 4-1 against Northampton Saints, even after Holly Smith scored a lovely break away goal with the support of Isaac Kean. Unfortunately this losing streak continued as Kettering then lost 5-0 to a Market Harborough side however some lovely tackles from Layla Perkins helped Kettering keep the ball out of our defensive D. Overall Kettering should be very impressed with their performance at this stage in the season.
