Mixed results but a definite improvement throughout the day!

Kettering didn't quite have enough players to enter 2 U10 teams however they had too many to enter just the one so we eventually decided on entering two resulting in many of our players doubling up for teams and therefore playing a lot more hockey than originally expected. Kettering 1 drew 3 games, won 1 and lost 1 in some very close games which could have gone either way. All 4 of team 1s goals came form strong goalscorer Barnaby Platts. the team worked really well together showing some stunning defending and great attacking play. They started using the width of the pitch really well as the games progressed. The team consisted of: Barnaby Platts, Leyton Etheridge, Pheobe Leverett, Amy Smith, Holly Smith and Evie McGowan.

The second team also had some very tight battles of which they played very well creating loads of chances however they struggled to always put the ball in the goal. They unfortunately lost 4 games but kept persevering and managed to win their final game against Towcester. Goals scorers were barnaby Platts and stand out defender Charlotte Bennett. The rest of the team included hardworking Layla Perkins, Layton Paris, Millie Brading and Jude Mitchell.
