A great performance from the U10s

Kettering's under 10 team came up against some tough opposition in the tournament however they put in lots of effort and worked really hard to apply pressure. The first game against a well practised Saints side unfortunately ended in a 4-0 loss however Charlotte Bennett and Phoebe Leverett making some great tackles in defence. Kettering then suffered a narrow loss in the second game where they lost 1-0 to the other saints team however Kettering did have some chances through the wide running of Jude Mitchell and Layla Perkins playing as a forward however Kettering couldn't quite get hold of the ball in the 'D'. The third game saw Kettering create a 4-2 win against a Long Buckby team where they passed the ball around brilliantly in midfield with great work from Holly Smith and Evie McGowan who played some lovely balls down to Lily Cockburn who played up front. The goals in this game came from Barnaby Platts (2), Jude Mitchell (1) and Layla Perkins (1). Finally the final game was very close however Kettering stole the win with a 1-0 result against Welford after some lovely play from Millie Brading on the right hand side of the pitch.
