Kettering suffered a heavy defeat to local rivals Market Harborough as they slumped to a 5-1 reverse. The game was effectively over in the first half as the visitors ran in three goals. The second half was a slightly more even affair although keeper Barry Coe was called on throughout to thwart Harborough. Ollie Smith scored what was in effect a consolation. Next week Kettering host Atherstone Adders in their final warm up before league action starts.
