Kettering made heavy weather of beating a limited Adders side in their last warm up game before league action commences next week. With a full squad of 14 Kettering looked full of confidence but struggled in front of goal. Lewis Pywell capped a fine performance with a number of good shots but could not apply a clinical finish. Ollie Smith scored for Kettering following a fine through ball from Mark Hawkins. Adders equalised and the half ended 1-1. Hawkins capped a fine individual performance with a venomous shot that was to hot for the Adders keeper. Tempers frayed late on with a flurry of green cards. New player Ben Mills made a fine all round contribution and will be a key figure for the forthcoming campaign.
