Kettering 0-2 Oundle

Kettering fell short in the first local derby of the season as they were beaten 2-0 by Oundle. Oundle pressed Kettering back early on but Kettering managed to get a foothold in the game but could not get any joy in the D. Oundle opened the scoring through a penalty stroke and doubled their lead just before the break when a mis hit shot fell kindly for another forward. The second half saw Oundle maintain their territorial advantage but were unable to extend their lead. Kettering never threatened to get back into the game as the game petered out.
