Kettering's post Christmas slump continued as they fell to mid table Derby. A disappointing performance saw Kettering create a number of chances but again they failed to trouble the scorers.
Derby broke the deadlock when a player was left unmarked on the far post. This lead was doubled on the stroke of half time when Phil Rowbotham unfortunately turned in a cross shot.
The second half saw returning Mark Hawkins spurn a coupe of chances but he saw yellow after debating an umpiring decision, Kettering rode out his absence but Neil Freeman deflected a short corner to complete the scoring,
