Despite dominating large chunks of the game Kettering failed to clinically finish of CoP and eventually laboured to a 4-2 victory.
Starting brightly Kettering soon established a two goal advantage through Grant Carlin and Mark Hawkins. Two nil at half time and everything was rather comfortable as the visitors posed no real threat. Early in the second half young Dom Cusk deflected home a shot to give the hosts a three goal lead. Peterborough scored a short corner but Ant Paton immediately gave the hosts a 4-1 lead. A few cards were flurried as Peterborough lost two players and Paul Donnelly saw yellow for Kettering. Peterborough scored another short corner but Kettering were guilty of saving two goal bound efforts that would have given the score a more polished result. The usually reliable Grant Carlin hit the post twice. Three points - move on to next week as Kettering host Wisbech who are the current basement boys in 4NW.
