Kettering made short work of Wisbech 3rds with a completely dominant display from start to finish. Credit to Wisbech they battled hard and it took Kettering 15 minutes to make the breakthrough when Ant Paton scored from a short corner break down. Goals then flowed regularly for the rest of the half with Grant Carlin, Lewis Pywell, Mark Hawkins, Ollie Smith and Neil Freeman all scoring. Pywell also missed a penalty as Kettering went in 6-0 up at halftime. The second half mirrored the first as Wisbech hung on for the first ten minutes until the flood gates opened. Another penalty, for which the Wisbech keeper saw yellow for upending Smith was initially missed by Hawkins but the retake converted by Paul Donnelly. Another Donnelly stroke made it eight and further goals from Carlin (2 for his hat trick), a great Dom Cusk goal, a drag flick by Ben Mills. Wisbech battled gamely but had no answer to Kettering's firepower. Next week Kettering travel to Skegness to face Alford hoping to consolidate their position near the top of the table.
