Let's take the positives first. We found out that a mere is a lake that is shallow compared to it's width and that John Clare the poet was born in Helpston.
The negatives were that two points were squandered against a Bourne side who in effect parked the bus. Kettering created 5 good chances in the first half but were unable to convert. The second half again saw the visitors monopolise possession and territory but fell behind to a decent strike. With not much going in their favour Kettering had to dig deep and a last minute short corner was converted by Grant Carlin.
Kettering relinquished top spot in 4NW as Cambridge City demolished Wisbech 14-0.
Enough said. Move on to next weeks table topper against CoP5.
