Kettering 1-1 St Neots
Kettering held by resolute St Neots
Always had the possibility of a banana skin fixture, always a tricky place to go. Did we deserve to win? Probably on teh balance of chances but sometimes you don't get what you deserve. St Neots took the lead midway through the first half when poor marking gave the hosts an overload on the far post. Kettering scored virtually straight away when Andy Sellers
scored from a short corner. Kettering had a great shout for a penalty stroke turned down but continued to create chances. Grant Carlin
missed a good chance and Jack Bridges
forced a good double save from St Neots keeper. The second half followed a similar pattern with Kettering creating the better chances but unable to force the winning goal. As it happened results went vaguely in Kettering's favour with Cambridge City losing at Ely so they remain in second place. This week sees Kettering face March, one of only two teams to lower Kettering's colours this term and are confident of reversing that result in a 1000 start at Bishop Stopford School.
