Kettering register first win of new year with come from behind win.
Kettering finally registered their first win in the league since early December when they eventually overcame a stubborn Dragons side who will feel they probably should have closed the game out. Dragons took the lead when a twice saved short corner was eventually fired home. A goalmouth scramble then saw Ross Mathieson stop the ball on the line and the resulting penalty was scored. With only twelve players Dragons were almost certainly going to tire in the second half and when injury reduced them to 11 players Kettering started to make inroads into their defence. A clumsy tackle on skipper Grant Carlin saw a stroke awarded and Pat Cawley coolly converted. Carlin was then on hand to make the game all square but by this time Kettering were in the ascendancy. Mathieson then converted a break down from a short corner and Paul Donnelly then applied the coup de grace with a finish from a narrow angle. Youngster Harry Tanser had a fine game on his debut. Kettering face another home game next week when they play Pelicans in a rearranged game from two weeks ago.
