First league game back after Christmas and it was a big one. A must win for either team unfortunately not Kettering. The first half went well with a solid 0-0 end to end game that was set to be a well matched game. Kettering looked to have the edge with the only real attempt at a goal when Skipper clarke drove the ball to the top of the D to push a superb pass through two players legs for George York and Jack bridges to both have a go on. Sadly the ball rolled just wide after many frantic moments of scrabbling for the opposition's keeper.
Half time and more of the same and we could have taken a win but the team switched off for ten minutes to see 3 goals get scored with ease. Very unlike Kettering to giveaway such freebies. The team soon gathered momentum and a goal from Sam deprisco got Kettering on the board with many more chances for several players. Some great solo drives up the pitch from deprisco and clarke trying desperately to get the centre forwards in play but time ran short. Man of the match went to Ed Jennings for a great game all-round
Next week we hope for a better performance at home against Peterborough 7ths
