Kettering travelled the long haul journey to louth who up to this weekend had not been defeated at home. Kettering had their eyes on an upset and looked to take points home with them. This they did and in style too.
Kettering 2's spent the majority of the game in possession and in applying the pressure with countless attacks and short corners but despite the quality field of play on show from a bare 11 team tired from the long journey the first half went by at 0 - 0.
Kettering came out strong with a short quick break and keen to get the opposition playing again saw some great play from the off with a quality duo of play from youngsters ned Wilson and jack bridges who spent the whole game tormenting louths defense with their skill. This quickly brought a goal and kettering were one up thanks to Ned Wilson.
The game continued with more short corners which louths keeper did very well to keep the scoreline so low. but towards the end of the game let one slip as kettering put in a second goal to close out the game for a win. Somewhere in their louth scored.
Man of the match went to jack bridges for a star performance and was unlucky to not come away with a goal to his name.
