Kettering win 5 - 3 march town with stylish display of hockey

Kettering rose above their poor performance from last weekend by showing march town how to pass and move. With plenty of stylish fast passing hockey on display Kettering where dominant.

Kettering a first goal came from Ben Isles who made easy work of the opposition defence and found the goal with a stylish reverse hit from the top of the D. Kettering continued to dominate and few minutes later Ben Isles won a penalty flick due to being pushed off the ball as he was about to strike for goal. Ben slotted this with ease. Unlike another flick that was won and scored but disallowed due to a double touch. Maybe next time Sam Deprisco

Kettering continued to push hard and saw some fantastic play from all players seeing some lovely pass and move hockey that we train to perfect. Half time came and it was clear there were more goals in this.

Kettering started strong but let a fairly boring goal slip against them. Again another slip up let another opposition goal in and saw the game draw but Kettering with ease pushed hard and scored after Ricky payne drew the keeper out the goal and gave Ben and open goal to push the ball at. Simple. Effective and back on the winning side.

Kettering continued storing but some pressure from the opposition didn't go a miss but Kettering won a fair few short corners but without their regular lineup couldn't be effective in this field of play. Sam Deprisco finally got on the score sheet with a nicely worked goal. Andy bull played an effective fast paced roll on the wing and won the team many shorts. James hogg played another great game for the twos and hopefully we will see more from the youngster.
The last goal came from Ben Isles who slotted another easy goal making light work of the keeper. Four goals in a game and that got him man of the match.

Next weekend sees half term break for Kettering but will look to come back strong against Cambridge south who sit top of the league.
