A long distance point

This weekend Kettering traveled once again long distance to horncastle. Kettering looked to improve on last week's performance and they did.
The game started well and Kettering put there stylish passing game to action and instantly looked threating. Plenty of we'll worked attacks through the young and up and coming members of team led to many shots on goal.
Occasionally horncastle attacked back with aggressive long balls in attempt to find a player.
Unfortunately Kettering slipped up in defence and let horncastle have a shot that went in.
Kettering kept there heads up as they knew the goals would come as the possession was in our favour. A we'll worked play up the right side from ed Jennings to Paul Brooker saw the ball crossed in and amongst the chaos George York slapped it home to equalise.
Second half was much the same and Kettering soon took another goal through York who scored one of his more simple goals of the season as the keeper have it back to him after his first shot.
Having fielded one of the youngest sides we had put together this season it must be said they all played fantastic and held there own against an older more experienced side. Late on in the second half a crash ball from horncastle was fired in and went aerial off a stick and saw a some what questionable lucky air swipe poke the ball in goal.
Game ended and it's a draw 2-2 a we'll worked game and a point a long way from home was enough to keep us smiling.
Man of the match went to tom ward for his constant persistence to prevent there winger from getting past him.
Next week is the penultimate game of the season against Ely city.
