The opposition arrived with 8 men, Kettering were worried that the game would be another draw, but alas the other 3 men turned up and the game got underway...
A promising 10 minutes by Kettering was ended by a Barton short-corner sneaking past Nigel Parks on the post, then a shot from the top of the 'D' flew through a mass of legs and buried itself against the backboard leaving the score at halftime at 2-0.
The second half began with a slow build-up of play by Barton ended in 3 goals over 20 minutes. As Kettering began after the 3rd Barton goal, the Barton centre-forward stole the ball, ran past the switched-off defence and scored the 6th and final goal of the game.
