Unlucky Kettering fought to the end

Kettering were unlucky not to get a draw from this game. With 11 players we knew it would be tough but we had the grit and determination to give it all we had. First half was pretty even, however Boots made some breaks which put us under pressure. We were finding it better than previous game to get the ball down the pitch, but we could not get that finishing touch to get the ball in the goal. Toward the end of the first half Boots managed to get their goal. The ball was topped from the top of the circle, and it bobbled through the 4 or 5 players in the D and one of their attackers tapped the ball into the net at the far post. Kettering were not fazed by this and kept pushing to get an equaliser. The second half we went to a more defensive formation as legs started to get tired, which means we could support each other a bit more on the ball. We were still making some good runs through the pitch but we were unable still to get the ball into the net. Everyone felt unlucky at the end not to have drawn the game but we will still strive for 6 more points before Christmas.
