Kettering not on top form but still earning themselves a point

Kettering were on a high from their win last week but still have the challenge of getting as far away from the bottom league teams as possible, so getting points out of the last games is vital. Kettering had beaten Solihull last time and so were confident going into the match. However not being able to train due to the weather over the past 2 weeks seems to have taken its toll on the team. It was an even game from start to finish, with opportunities for both teams to have a chance on goal. Kettering had to defend some penalty corners in the first half, and the penalty corner team stood up to the challenge well. Even though we were getting the ball up the pitch our passing was letting us down and we gave the ball away a lot as our mids and forwards tried to push towards the oppositions D. At half time we were 0-0. Second half we started to get a bit more luck and had some free hits around the oppositions D as well as a couple of penalty corners for our selves. However their keeper stood up to the challenge and the game ended 0-0. We were happy to get a point but did have the chances to steal the win. We are hoping training this week will put us back on track.
