New season planning already taking shape as KHC announce new Ladies 1s coach, Rob Mahony.

Kettering HC are delighted to officially announce Rob Mahony has joined the coaching team at the Club. Following talks between Rob and Senior Ctte Members it was apparent that Rob shared many of the ideals that the Committee believe are required to drive the club forward. Rob, a former Ladies 1st XI coach in the early noughties, has been given the role of Ladies 1st XI coach for the coming season(s). The Senior Performance Committee have given Rob complete control over the selection and preparation of the 1st XI squad. He will also coach the Ladies 2nd XI.
Rob joins the club after a successful stint with Towcester HC and the Committee were impressed with the emphasis Rob put on growing the youth at Towcester.
Unlike the current trend in football management Rob’s brief is not outcome related, as we believe results will take care of themselves, but to instil a positive brand of modern, attacking hockey.
We wish Rob every success as he takes on the mantle of Ladies coach.

Details of training times will be announced shortly but will start earlier than usual as Rob will be keen to assess all players well before the season starts.
