Youngster Ben Mayes is the inaugural winner of the Skymoons Player of the Year. Ben has risen through the junior ranks at Kettering and his performances in the summer made him a worthy winner. Ben can be seen receiving his award from (soon to be Captain) Gary Thorpe, watched on by Skymoons legends, Jean Smith, Tony Heath and Janet Cannon.

Skymoons is Kettering's mixed team who play at Moulton during the summer months. Originally founded in 1969 and playing on Sundays Skymoons has evolved to be predominantly an under 30s team giving players the opportunity to mix in a friendly hockey side.
