So, a test of character this week as Nomads look to take residence at a Fortress Bishop. On the back of a narrow 3-2 defeat last weekend to Spalding (surely not the same Spalding that were spanked by Wellingborough??) Kettering will be looking to show some bouncebackability to get their push for a top four finish back on track. A solid second half performance saw Kettering win the second half 1-0 but again the lack of clinical finishing proved to be their downfall. The team is currently more 2017 Raheem Sterling than Harry Kane. Shooting boots on this week please gentlemen.
Nomads arrive in good spirits after whacking Wellingborough 5-0 (match report available HERE. That will of course have been an away game for the nouveau All Blacks.
Skipper Ollie Smith said “we probably should have got a point on Saturday. It was good to welcome Pat Cawley back and I hope he stays fit and can have a positive impact on our younger players, as well as scoring a few goals! Nomads always pose a stiff challenge but this young side owe themselves and the club a result after last week’s disappointment”.
It’s a 230 start at Fortress Bishop Stopford and all support is very welcome.
