Club Statement

Following the sudden, and unexpected, resignation of Gary Thorpe as Junior Chair the Executive Committee of KHC would like to issue the following statement.

The Executive Committee would like to thank Gary for all his hard work in transforming the junior section of KHC during his tenure as Junior Chair over the last two years. We have also received emails from parents thanking him for his time and encouragement of young players.

We expect the Junior Section to continue training on Tuesday as normal.

We currently run u14/12/10 and u8 teams. KHC will continue to provide coaches for each age group’s training and matches but would be really grateful if any parent(s) could commit to managing the admin side of an age group their child plays in. This would involve registering youngsters at sessions and co-ordinating parents to get youngsters to tournaments in collaboration with the coaches.

The under 12 and under 14 Tournament at Bishop Stopford on Sunday 1st December will go ahead as scheduled and we look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. If you haven’t yet put down your child’s availability on Pitchero could you do it as soon as possible.

As a Club we are invested in our junior section to make it a safe, enjoyable experience for our youngsters while also showing that there is a clear pathway through to our senior teams.

Club chair, Shez Coe, will be at junior training tomorrow if you have any questions before she coaches the Ladies session at 7pm.

If you would like to help the Junior Academy in any capacity please contact secretary@ketteringhockeyclub.co.uk
