Ketterings ladies vintage team, over 45s, travelled to Bedford for their national cup game. Kettering started strongly attacking down the right with fine runs from Helen Keyworth. Kettering struggled to put this pressure into goals but finally got the break through with Kirsty Smith netting from close range. Bedford came back from this and finished the better side in the 10 minutes before half time. Only tireless running in midfield by Linzi Webster and defending by Kettering's back four kept them at bay. Kettering were back on form after half time, scoring twice more, both from breakdowns at short corners. Shez Coe firing home first followed by Mandy Starsmore-Young stroking the ball home. Kettering continued to dominate and were unfortunate not to add to their 3-0 tally. Kettering will now travel to Timperley in January for the quarter finals.
