League action returns to BSS with the visit of Dereham in the 7th v 8th battle. Dereham started the season with a bang but have somewhat fizzled out since. They were comfortable 5-2 winners in the first game against Kettering but the Kettering very much put in their worst performance of the first round of matches. The long trip and some travel issues meant Kettering arrived a bit late and despite scoring after two minutes never adapted to Dereham's old school style of hockey. Kettering are more streetwise in 2N this time round and will be looking to get back into winning ways following an 8-6 defeat last week at Rugby and their 4-2 league reverse at Bury St Edmunds before Christmas. A good training session in midweek set the team up and jet setting Ross Mathieson is flying in from New York to make the game. Skipper Grant Carlin chooses from a full squad and Kettering will be looking to play a high intensity game.
