Kettering 3 travelled to Bourne Deeping on a day with some good weather for hockey. Kettering starting off with 10 due to someone not knowing the start time looked competitive and the game was even for the most part. Both teams were having some good chances at goal but both teams were defending well and Kettering were just missing the final passes to be on goal. 20 minutes in Bourne had a short corner, injected to the top of the D and switched to the left. The Bourne player slotted the ball into the bottom left corner, 1-0 to the team at home. Kettering kept going and 5 mins later after the goal, they had 11. The last 10 minutes showed Kettering were the better team, winning a few shorts with good chances at goal, Nick Cusk unfortunately hitting the post. Not long later another short was won for Kettering Nick took the shot which was deflected, Dan Carter collected the ball after being fouled a few times found George Hockley, who then passed to Nick. Nick's shot was deflected by Lee Paris to equalise.

Coming into the second half Kettering were looking to take the 3 points home. The second half started much like the first with both teams having some good chances. About 10 minutes into the second half Kettering were awarded another short corner, struck by Nick again and hitting the post once again. Not long later Bourne had a short corner, which was converted by playing few short passes in the D and a Bourne player slotting it away. The last 10 minutes Kettering were trying to push for another goal but with people tiring and Bourne's game management the game ended in a 2-1 defeat.
